Going to Australia

Most of you know I have this great affection for Australia. I've been lucky enough to get there three times already. Each trip, I've been able to see (and sometimes hold) koalas, who I believe to be the most adorable creatures on the planet.

This will be my 4th visit to the Land Down Under. I've planned a two week stay including Sydney and Tasmania.

1996 was Adelaide and Sydney
2000 was Adelaide and Sydney
2003 was Adelaide and Melbourne

I'll have my laptop and camera with me so I hope you come back to this blog to see some new pics and updates.

  5. When you get to Tasmania, tell the Cat Empire that their XPN fans in Philly say Hi.

And, I've always been curious... Do Tasmanian Devils really spin like little tornadoes, slicing through trees and rocks as the whirl? I mean, Bugs Bunny must have been close to reality on that point, right? Well, be sure to report back on that score.

  8. Hope you have a good flight tonight. We'll be checking in frequently to catch up on your latest adventures. Post lots of photos and videos if you can - although it will be tough to beat your "eating live octopus from Korea" clip! Hope you see a koala or two, but watch out for those emus!
