Today was a good day, in large part because all my technology problems have been resolved. My new BlackBerry is working (thanks for sending it, Mom and Dad!), I got some recordings done and sent to clients, and I tracked down an elusive but recommended microphone that will lighten my load for future travels. It's a USB mic that plugs right into my laptop, meaning I won't have to carry around that other piece of recording equipment.
After taking care of all this tech stuff, David and I had a quick lunch and he dropped me off at the Central Train Station in Sydney, where I took a 90 minute ride up to Gosford and then Louise's employee picked me up at train and took me back to her house.
FYI: The GPS in Australian cars is very polite!! The voice says "PLEASE turn right ahead." Interesting cultural difference, I thought.
It was another perfect weather day. I hear tomorrow's going to be about 10 degrees warmer.

Okay, wait a minute. You're blogging, emailing, posting on facebook, and you even splurged to text me once. You're doing voiceover work and ordering microphones. Yet your blog shows that you are having a great time, seeing lots of things and people, traveling, watching concerts in Tasmania, wallabies, koalas.... don't you ever sleep? (Yes, it's the pot calling the kettle black, but ignore that for the moment.)
ReplyDeleteSend me some of that incredible, can-do-everything energy!

ReplyDeleteGlad your technology stuff is working for you. Did you order my kaola yet? Why do I have this feeling we will get a call that you are NOT COMING HOME. LOL
